HOYA CORAÇÃO
Essa plantinha linda também é conhecida como Hoya Coração ou Planta-Coração pelo formato de suas folhas.
São plantas suculentas epífitas que crescem como trepadeiras podendo atingir até 4m de comprimento. Suas pequenas flores possuem formatos que se assemelham a estrelas, de cor creme a brancas e com o centro rosado ou roxos. São chamadas também de flor-de-cera por seu aspecto encerado. Floresce no verão. Os componentes aromáticos dessas flores são muito usados como fragrâncias de perfumes, e uma curiosidade é que a fragrância vai mudando conforme a idade da planta.
Apreciam um solo com boa drenagem, regue até escorrer um pouco de água pelo fundo do vaso e só regue novamente quando a terra já estiver seca.
É indicado muita luminosidade natural e sol da manhã para não ter risco de sofrer queimaduras.
Podemos fazer mudas por estaquia das folhas, retire uma folha junto com a raiz (é como se fosse um pequeno caule entre a folha/coração e o ramo principal da trepadeira), importante deixar cicatrizar por 1 dia e plantar em um vaso pequeno. Ela possui crescimento lento.
No Dia dos Namorados ou Dia das Mães é muito comum encontrarmos mudinhas com apenas uma folha pelo seu formato de coração. Como a Hoya kerrii cresce como trepadeira ou pendente podemos fazer como na foto acima e criar um arco com arame para ela se apoiar e crescer.
